HLTAID011 Provide first aid
(Previously known as "Senior first aid")
This unit of competency provides participants with the skills and knowledge to provide first aid response to a casualty. This unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide first aid in a range of situations, include community and workplace settings. Guidelines state that the student must perform CPR on an adult manikin for at least 2 minutes, whilst on the floor.
Course Duration: 18 hours - Pre-course work (6-9 hours self-paced learning/knowledge
depending on level of knowledge. Workshop duration 9 hours.
Course Content: Respond to an emergency situation
Apply appropriate first aid procedures
Communicate details of the incident
Review the incident

Upon successful completion of this course you will be issued with a statement of attainment for the unit.
