HLTSS00068 Occupational First Aid skill set

This skill set provides a set of skills to establish, maintain and facilitate the provision of appropriate first aid in a workplace environment, including the skills to provide an emergency first aid response in the event of an emergency.  Guidelines state that the student must perform CPR on an adult manikin for at least 2 minutes, whilst on the floor.

Course Duration:  3 Consecutive Days with 6-10 hours pre-work

Course Content:   Respond to an emergency situation

                                   Apply appropriate first aid procedures

                                   Deliver oxygen therapy

                                   Coordinate first aid activities until arrival of medical assistance

                                   Communicate details of the incident

                                   Review the incident

Upon successful completion of this course you will be issued with a statement of attainment for the unit.
